Hi, I'm Joe Baker.
Live sound has been my passion for almost twenty years.
What started with small local productions has grown into a career working on theatres, festivals, corporate productions, arenas and international touring.
Today I work with multiple production companies, equipment suppliers and touring clients throughout the UK and internationally, specialising in system design, system engineering and technical problem solving.
I genuinely enjoy the engineering side of live production just as much as the performance itself.
Whether I'm designing a loudspeaker system, building a touring drive rack, configuring complex Dante and MADI networks, modelling a venue, optimising a line array or solving an unusual workflow challenge, I enjoy finding elegant engineering solutions that simply make productions work better.
Every venue is unique.
Every show has different requirements.
Every challenge deserves the right solution rather than the easiest one.
Experience
Over nearly twenty years I have worked across international touring, festivals, arena productions, theatre, corporate events, broadcast support, system design, system optimisation, loudspeaker prediction, audio networking, technical consultancy, drive rack design, show deployment and FOH engineering.
I continue to work with multiple production companies and clients rather than representing a single manufacturer or supplier. This flexibility allows me to select the right solution for every production.
