Patch Sheet release notes

What changed in each version, and how to use the new features.

v1.2.12

15 October 2026

Latest

Monitor counts on the equipment list, and PDFs per act with an All acts master view.

Equipment list

  • A new Monitors section counts wedges, IEM mixes, IEM packs, side fills, drum fills, subs and hardwired outputs, for each act and for the whole festival. A stereo IEM mix counts as one pack.
  • The PDF and Excel equipment lists include it too.

Export PDF

  • Tick the acts to include, with All and None shortcuts.
  • All acts master view adds pages with the ticked acts side by side: channel, patch and instrument. Channels an act doesn't use from the festival patch are struck through.
  • One PDF per act saves each act as its own file in a folder you choose. The master view and festival totals go in one extra file.

v1.2.11

15 October 2026

A festival patch that bands are made from, an All acts page, and a read-only browser view for iPads, Macs and PCs.

Festival patch

  • + Festival patch inserts the stage's own patch before every act. Start it blank with a set number of channels, or as a copy of an act.
  • + Add act > From festival patch makes a band with every festival channel, plus the festival outputs, stageboxes and devices. Tick the channels the band uses; the rest stay greyed out and are left out of totals, the equipment list and print. Tick all and Untick all are on the toolbar.
  • Changes to the festival patch's patch, mic, stand and connection carry on into every band made from it. A cell a band changed itself keeps its own value and is underlined; the row menu takes it back to the festival patch.
  • Channel names, notes and ticks are always the band's own. New festival channels appear in each band, unticked.
  • On Show Info, any act can become the festival patch, and existing acts can follow it or stop following it.

All acts

  • All acts (next to the act tabs, or View > All Acts) shows every act side by side: channel, patch and instrument, with Mic / DI on request and three sizes.
  • Click an act's name to open it.

Browser view (iPad, Mac, PC)

  • File > Browser View gives a read-only page of each act's inputs, outputs, devices and equipment, plus All acts. It updates as soon as anything changes in Patch Sheet.
  • On this network: no internet needed. Patch Sheet serves the page itself, so it works on a venue router, a Wi-Fi access point or a phone hotspot. Keep Patch Sheet open. The first time, your computer may ask to allow incoming connections: allow it.
  • Over the internet: share the show live, and the browser link works from anywhere.
  • The live share codes dialog and the Share menu have a Browser view option too.

v1.2.10

14 October 2026

A Connection column for XLR, jack, MADI, Dante and AES, and a cables and stands list on the local crew sheet.

Connection column

  • The Cable column on the Inputs page is now Connection. Pick an XLR or jack length, or MADI, Dante or AES (no length), on any channel.
  • Cells read "2.5m XLR" or "10m Jack". Typing "15m jack" still works.
  • Mic / DI keeps your mics and DIs but no longer lists MADI. Typing MADI, Dante or AES there moves it to Connection.
  • Existing shows are converted when opened: channels with MADI in Mic / DI get Connection = MADI. Equipment totals stay the same.
  • The full input list PDF shows a Connection column when any channel has one.

Local crew sheet

  • The Local crew (simple) PDF now ends with What the inputs need: XLRs by length, jacks by length and stands by type, each with a total.
  • It sits under the last inputs when there is room, otherwise on its own page.
  • The crew sheet has no Connection column.

v1.2.9

13 October 2026

Rows added, deleted or moved offline no longer overwrite other people's work on a shared show.

  • Before, if you added, deleted or moved a row while offline (inputs, outputs, stage plot items, stageboxes, devices, acts, mics or stands), your whole list replaced the live one when you came back online, and anything others had changed in that list was lost.
  • Now your changes are merged row by row: rows either of you added are both kept, rows you deleted go, your moves are kept, and other people's edits to the rest of the list stay.
  • If you delete a row someone else changed while you were away, their row is kept, so no work disappears.
  • If you both change the same cell, the change that reaches the live show last still wins.
  • This also works when you save the file offline, close it and reopen it later.

v1.2.8

13 October 2026

Offline changes are no longer lost when you reopen a shared show.

  • If you save a shared show while offline, the file now remembers the changes that have not reached the live show yet.
  • When you reopen it, those changes are sent to the live show, on top of any changes other people made while you were away, and a message tells you so. Before, the live copy replaced the file and those changes were lost.
  • This works for files saved with 1.2.8 or later.

v1.2.7

13 October 2026

Every act has its own rig, and the equipment list shows who supplies what.

Separate everything per act

  • Each act now has its own stageboxes, multicore, box-to-box links and Devices page, as well as its own inputs, outputs and stage plot. Changing one act no longer changes the others.
  • Existing shows are split automatically when opened: every act starts with a copy of the old shared rig, so nothing is lost.
  • A new act starts with your default stageboxes and an empty Devices page. Duplicating an act copies its rig.
  • Shared online shows are upgraded the first time someone with an edit link opens them in 1.2.7. Everyone working on a shared show should update so they all see the same rig.

Us / Them on the equipment list

  • Every line on the Equipment page has a Supply dropdown: Us or Them. The Supply heading on each section sets the whole section at once.
  • Each section shows a count, such as "35 them" or "8 us · 2 them".
  • The PDF and print show a Supply column, and Export Excel adds a "Supplied by" column. Sections with nothing set print without the column.
  • Supply is saved per act. The festival view shows it where every act agrees.

v1.2.6

13 October 2026

The Loom page is now called Devices, with easier ID changes and tidier device boxes.

  • The Loom tab is now Devices (View menu, Cmd/Ctrl+5), and the PDF page is titled Devices.
  • Change a device's ID in the device panel or straight in the ID column of the device list. Both have a dropdown of the rack IDs in your input patch and the next free ID, or type your own.
  • When a device matched to a rack gets a new, unused ID, that rack's ID in the input and output patch changes with it so they stay matched. Undo puts both back.
  • On devices with ports along the bottom, "We supply / They supply" no longer prints over the rack details.

v1.2.5

12 October 2026

A bigger stage plot in the PDF.

  • The stage plot page in the full PDF and print is now just the stage plot, using the full width of the page. The channel list beside it has been removed; the input list pages already cover every channel.
  • Power drops are still drawn on the plot with their labels.

v1.2.4

11 October 2026

Outputs on the local crew PDF.

  • The Local crew (simple) export now includes an output list after the inputs: output number, patch, output name, whose mix it is and the type, in the same larger two-column print.
  • Only outputs in use are listed. The right side of a stereo IEM shows the same mix name as the left.
  • Quantity is shown only when an output has one. Untick Output list in the export window to leave it out.

v1.2.3

11 October 2026

Edit the rack, ID, slot and channel on every row, and Loom support for every major console brand.

Rack, ID, Slot and #

  • Rack, ID, Slot and # are now four editable columns on the Inputs and Outputs pages. Each has a dropdown, or type your own.
  • The Rack list shows the racks in your show, devices on your loom, and stageboxes from DiGiCo, Yamaha, Midas, Behringer, SSL, Avid, Allen & Heath, Waves, Soundcraft, Lawo and Optocore.
  • The Slot list shows every slot card by card, marked as used (with the channel using it) or free, with the next free slot first.
  • The fields fill each other in: pick a rack to fill its ID, type an ID to fill the rack name, and pick a slot to fill the channel number, following how that rack is already numbered.
  • Tick Rack columns in the toolbar to show or hide the columns, for example on a new show.

Loom for every brand

  • The Loom device list now covers DiGiCo, Yamaha, Midas, Klark Teknik, Behringer, SSL, Avid, Allen & Heath, Waves, Soundcraft, Lawo, Optocore and general network kit, with a search box.
  • Each device shows its I/O. Pick a model in the device panel to fill in its brand and ports.
  • Choose the network for the loop channel count: Optocore, TWINLANe, Dante, AES50, HyperMAC, gigaACE, DX, Blacklight II, MADI, SoundGrid, AVB or your own. Capacity follows the network, or type your own.
  • Modular racks count the whole cards in use; fixed stageboxes count all of their I/O. A new column shows how each device was counted.

v1.2.2

10 October 2026

A simple PDF for local crew, and a loop channel count on the Loom page.

Local crew PDF

  • Export PDF and Print now offer Full pack or Local crew (simple).
  • The simple version is an input list of just the channels in use (channel, patch, instrument, mic and stand) in larger print, plus a stage plot with names only.

Loop channel count

  • A Loop channels card on the Loom page shows the loop capacity (504 at 48 kHz), channels into and out of the loop, reserved, used and left, with OK, Low headroom or Over capacity.
  • Each stage rack's count follows the input patch in whole 8-channel cards, so it updates as you add or remove channels.
  • Type a number to set a device's count yourself, for example 8 reserved for video. Clear it to follow the patch again.
  • The printed System loom page includes the loop channel count.

v1.2.1

10 October 2026

More choices in the Cable column.

  • None (no cable) at the top of the Cable and Cable 2 dropdowns, for channels that don't need a cable.
  • On RF mic channels, choose how the receiver reaches the console: MADI, AES, Dante or an XLR length.
  • On the equipment list, AES counts one cable for every two channels. MADI and Dante channels are listed under Other instead of being counted as cables.

v1.2.0

10 October 2026

A new Loom page for the console network, inline devices on each channel, jack cable lengths, and your own items on the equipment list.

Loom

  • A new Loom tab draws the system loop: console engines, stage racks and network kit joined by cables.
  • Add DiGiCo, Yamaha, Waves and general devices (switches, fibre converters, recorders) from the list on the left.
  • Click one port, then another, to join them. Set each cable's type (Optocore, opticalCON fibre, TWINLANe, Cat 6, MADI, AES50 and more), length and colour, and who supplies it.
  • Give a device its Optocore or network ID and it matches the rack with that ID in the input patch.
  • If a device isn't coming, select it and press Remove and close the loop to join the cables either side.
  • Cables and devices you supply are added to the equipment list. The loop drawing and cable list print as a System loom page.

Inline devices and second cables

  • A new Device column on the Inputs page for kit such as a Radial HotShot, and a Cable 2 column for the second cable's length.
  • Both are counted on the equipment list.

Jack cables

  • The Cable dropdowns now offer jack lengths as well as XLR. A jack shows as, for example, 10J and is counted as a jack cable.

Your own items

  • Add anything else you need, such as spare DIs or batteries, under Your own items on the Equipment page.

Save As

  • A Save As… button next to Save keeps a copy under a new name or location.

v1.1.0

10 October 2026

Stage wings on every plot, ready-made risers, and band logos on the patch sheet.

Stage wings

  • Every stage plot now has a stage right and stage left wing, 3m each by default, for guitar tech positions and monitor world.
  • Change the width under SR wing and SL wing on the Stage Plot page. Set 0 to hide a wing.

Risers

  • A new Risers section in the Stage Plot item list: drum risers (8' × 8' and 10' × 8'), keys riser, BV riser and general 8' × 4' and 4' × 4' risers.
  • Each riser shows its height on the plot, for example 40cm high. Change it under Height (cm).
  • Tick On a riser for any item, such as keys, a percussion table or a wedge, to draw it on a riser and label it with the height.
  • Select several items and click On a 40cm riser to mark them all at once.

Band logos

  1. 1Go to Show Info and click Import logo… next to the act.
  2. 2The logo shows on the Inputs page and at the top of every printed page and PDF for that act.
  3. 3A PNG with a transparent background looks best. Large images are scaled down automatically.
